As the village is in the mountains the climate is slightly cooler in the summer months than locations on the coast. Only a short drive away is the marine town of Fethiye where you can have a stroll round the marine or enjoy pancakes at the tuesday market.

we are 5 mins from the main road in and out of Ovacik, dolmus's are small buses and there seams to be one on the road when you need it if you put your hand out it will stop. If you travel 5 mins in one direction you will arrive in hisaranou, if you travel about 10 mins in the same direcction you will arrive in olu deniz a cosmopolitan area where the beach and blue lagoon is found. Traveling in the other direction for about 10 mins you will end up in Fethiye a marine village, this is where the market is found on a tuesday both vegtable and textiles.Dolmuses are usualy about 5 lira... regardless of where you are going.Taxis are found every where to and depending how many of you are travelling may be cheaper than a dolmus... Remember to haggle on taxis aswell |

Scuba Diving,Paraglyding,Horse riding
You can go paragliding or microlighting off one of the many mountains overlooking the Olu Deniz beaches. Also take advantage of the crystal clear waters and go scuba diving or snorkelling , there are many daily boat trips to the amazing Butterfly Valley and Turtle beach. There is a recently opened water park about 10 minutes walk away from the apartment.The markets that are in hisaronu on a monday and Fethiya on a tuesday offer great bargains remember to barter.... There is now a super market opened in Hisaronu which sell everthing it is open from 0800 till 0200

The area that the property is in is, a mountainous area where you can horseride and microglide. If you travel down to the blue lagoon(olu deniz) this is where you could swim,snokel,scubadive with the turtles... also this is where you can purchase paragliding of the babadad mountain... they land on the olu deniz beach. Hisaranou is where you can get a traditional shave or a turkish bath, this can also be done in fethiya... Fethiya is where you can go on the 12/6 island cruises and any other boat activities also attend the market on Tuesday hisaranou market is on a monday.. .
