The flat is on the top floor of a four storey building with views of the mountain sierra. There is parking outside the building and the flat is on a quiet residential road. The neighbours are all locals and very welcoming.

San Lorenzo has direct regular rail and bus links to Madrid. It is an hours drive to the airport and about fifty minutes to Madrid. The flat is 10 mins walk from the bus station and 15 mins walk from the train station.

Currently, you can fly to Madrid from: London Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton (BA, Iberia, easyJet, Aerolineas Argentinas); Birmingham (BA / Iberia); Bournemouth (Ryanair); East Midlands (easyJet); Manchester (BA / Iberia); Liverpool (easyJet).

The Monastery
Built by King Felipe II, home to the Augstine monks, the monastery is a place of awe and wonder. You’ll find it in nearly every guide book for Spain and is a host to many concerts and performances. It’s beautiful gardens and views make San Lorenzo well worth a visit.

The Theatre & Auditorium
The theatre and newly built auditorium hosts not only classical theatre productions but also dance and concerts. One of the few theatres outside the Madrid linked with capital’s seasonal programmes.

Casa de Cultura
The Cultural Centre hosts and organises many of the creative programmes in San Lorenzo. From watercolour painting, film clubs, conferences on Don Quijote, you’ll find many classes and programmes to suit.

A range of restaurants
There are over thirty restaurants in San Lorenzo, from traditional spanish cooking to creative and international cuisine. Eating out is extremely easy in San Lorenzo.

Mountain walks
San Lorenzo sits half way up Mount Abantos, the entrance to the woods is a mere 10 mins walk from the flat. Great for longs walks, magnificent views and picnics.

Parks
There are 25 parks in San Lorenzo, from children’s play areas to arboretums. All of which make for a lazy afternoon, reading a book or watching the people pass by.

Skiing
During the winter months, Navacerrada mountain town opens its pistas. You can hire all the equipment you need and is only 30 mins away from San Lorenzo

SPORTS
Hockey, Badminton, golf, judo, taichi, tennis, pilates, swimming... The large sports centre is ten mins drive from the flat with a a bus link from the station.

MADRID
Visitors and residents alike can enjoy the sun, go for walks, go rowing or feed the squirrels in Madrid's large, impeccable parks and gardens. The Retiro Park, once playground of Spanish Monarchs, the Casa de Campo and the Juan Carlos I Park among others make Madrid one of Europe's greenest capitals. Madrid is also one of Europe's most attractive business centres. Its international airport receives more than one thousand flights weekly from all over the world and it has two main conference centres, as well as the modern Campo de las Naciones exhibition centre and a capacity to hold more than 80,000 people in other varied conference and meeting facilities.
