Set in a coastal Gaelic speaking community in the Western Isles of Scotland, this family run Scottish Tourist Board 4 star rated property is superbly placed within 200 yards of the picturesque Port of Ness beach and its adjacent 19th century fishing harbour. Situated about 45 minutes drive from the island's airport and ferry terminals in the town of Stornoway, guests can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation, but with easy access to public services and amenities. There are wonderful walks on any one of several beautiful sandy beaches along the stunning coastline, rolling machair (coastal grassland) and the expansive moor that dominates the east coast.

Situated about 45 minutes drive from the island's airport and ferry terminals in the town of Stornoway, the property is well placed to combine a peaceful and relaxing vacation with easy access to public services and conveniences. Within two hundred yards of the property is the village Post Office, Port of Ness beach & harbour and the Islands Book Trust.
For those who wish to travel within the island by public transport, a regular bus service (310Kb pdf) passes by the property approximately every 1-2 hours, Monday to Saturday. A local taxi service is also available.
The property is also within one hour's drive of most parts of the island, such as the main town of Stornoway and the world famous Calanish Standing Stones.

Regular air and ferry services operate between the islands and the Scottish mainland. The Caledonian MacBrayne ferry, Isle of Lewis, runs 2-3 times daily (Mon-Sat) between Ullapool and Stornoway. There are also daily air flights to Lewis from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, Benbecula and Barra.
