Boating From Helensburgh Pier take a boat trip on the Waverley - the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world.
Take a boat trip from the banks of Loch Lomond over to the Island of Inchmurrin. By prior arrangement, the hotel will send a boat to pick up visitors who wish to have lunch in the restaurant.
Walking Visit scenic Loch Lomond which is just a few minutes drive from us. Walk up Ben Lomond (altitude 3195ft / 974m), a 4-5 hour trek for spectacular views and the achievement of conquering one of Scotland's Munros (a munro is a Scottish mountain over 3000ft).
Enjoy the many woodland and hill walks around Helensburgh, and beyond.
West Highland Railway Line Have a relaxing day on the West Highland Line watching the best of Scotland's scenery from the comfort of the train. One of the world's most famous train journeys, the trip can take you from Glasgow to Fort William and then along the Road the Isles to Mallaig, or to Oban on the shorter route.
Fishing The sheltered waters of the Firth of Clyde are excellent for pier fishing, and small boats can also be hired. Loch Lomond (6 miles from Lethamhill) also offers a wide variety of angling.
The River Leven, which flows from Loch Lomond to the Clyde estuary at Dumbarton, is one of Scotland's most renowned trout and salmon rivers, with coarse fishing also popular.
Horse-riding Trekking for riders of all ages and abilities is available in the area.
Golf There are many great golf courses in the area for public use. The newly opened Carrick Golf Course on the banks of Loch Lomond also has a Spa, for those less interested in joining the golfers.
Sailing The waters of the Firth of Clyde are renowned as amongst the best sailing waters in the world, with plenty of sheltered bays and sealochs for dinghy sailing. Excellent marina facilities are available at Rhu, and moorings at Clynder on the Rosneath Peninsula.

Helensburgh is the birthplace of John Logie Baird, the inventor of television. We are close to Hillhouse, Charles Rennie Mackintosh's finest domestic creation, which is now owned by the National Trust and is open to the public. More of Mackintosh's work can be seen in Glasgow including the Willow Tearooms on Sauchiehall Street and the Art School on Garnet Hill.
The Garden at Geilston was developed over 200 hundred years ago. It is a testimony to good landscape design and open to visits from the public.
