There are two double bedrooms with double beds (also two basic single fold-down beds and a travel cot available in the flat), the kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom has a good bath / shower unit. The relatively large livingroom has a livingflame gas fire, stereo, flat screen tv, cable tv, dvd, video, wireless broadband, telephone etc and great views of the Grassmarket, West Bow / Victoria St and the Castle from both windows.

Weekly linen change and flat cleaning service. Good selection of videos, games and books for rainy days. Well equipped kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, cooking utensils etc. Triple glazing or shutters on all bedroom and livingroom windows.

This flat is easy to get to due to its central location. Waverley train station is eight minutes walk away, Edinburgh airport about 30 minutes by car/taxi and there are a number of options for bus travel. A parking space can be made available for your use however its unlikely you will need a car once here as everything is in easy reach by foot.

The Grassmarket area is home to a fine selection of cafes, pubs, restaurants and clubs. Within 10 minutes walk there are cinemas, fitness centres and a variety of parks.

The Grassmarket is one of Edinburgh's best known street and will be an essential part of any tourists itinerary. The area is steeped in history and whilst there has been a tradition of on-going architectural development there is no mistaking the feeling of stepping back to medieval times as you wander the cobbled streets passing over the areas where markets were held and public hangings carried out. Many of the buildings in the Grassmarket date back to the 17th and 18th centuries and directly behind, and dominating the skyline to the north, is Edinburgh Castle itself. There are many walking tours and open bus top trips to take or its easy to head off map in hand and explore.

Key attractions within a few minutes walk include Edinburgh Castle , the High Street and Royal Mile , Greyfriars Bobby , the National Museum of Scotland and the National Library of Scotland. Within five to ten minutes walk are Princes Street Princes Street and Gardens , the National Galleries of Scotland , Holyrood Palace , the Scottish Parliament , Arthur's Seat , and the Meadows.
