‘Casa Bianca’ is a stunningly attractive modern villa with private swimming pool on the edge of the pretty village of A dos Francos on Portugal's unspoilt Silver Coast. It is about a 55 minute drive north of Lisbon Airport, 25 mins from vibrant Peniche and just 15 mins from the Golden Eagle golf course. The villa is set on the slope of the hill and is set in 2000 square metres of landscaped gardens, surrounded by olive trees and overlooking the rambling vineyards adjacent to the village. There are simply wonderful views from the wrap around sun terrace to the front of the house that soon becomes a focal point of the property both during the day whilst soaking up the sun and also in the evenings when you sip of your drinks and relax in the tranquil atmosphere. The swimming pool to the rear of the villa has a feature waterfall that lights up brilliantly in the evenings while you dine Al Fresco by the summer kitchen, well-lit swimming pool and BBQ area. The villa is set on the slope of the hill, has its own private swimming pool set in landscaped gardens and is surrounded by olive trees and overlooking the rambling vineyards and fruit orchards adjacent to the village. Towards the rear of the house is a beautiful secluded corner spot that is ideal for reading and quiet contemplation. There are also a number of fruit trees at the back of the villa that provide the perfect backdrop to the pool and barbecue area for guests to relax in complete privacy & comfort. Beyond the front gate and over the road lies the river Arnoia that courses very peacefully through A dos Francos on its way down to the sea. The valley then rises up the opposite bank to the green hilltops overlooking the next village of Painho. The villa is available to rent all year round with special prices sometimes applying during the off-peak periods, so please be sure to check with the owners if you feel you will book between November and March.
The property may be off the market for brief periods during the off-peak periods for necessary maintenance and upgrades each year.

The changeover day is Saturday. If however your circumstances do not permit, then you can discuss with the owners and pay the part-week rate based on published the tariff for 2007-2008.

The nearby town of Caldas da Rainha has regular bus services that will take you in almost any direction, but it is particularly will connected to the world famous pilgrimage town of Fatima (Holy Catholic shrine) and the beautiful gothic cathedral at Bathalia just one hour from the villa.
There are also bus tour going down to the royal summer palaces at Maffra and Sintra just 90 minutes away. The A1 motorway connects directly to the Algarve should you wish to go there by car or train.

Caldas really serves the young crowd well after dark with a number of very nice bars and clubs, but for a really exciting time, a short drive to Nazare and Sao Martinho will have an even better selection for entertainment The Medieval town of Obidos which is a World Heritage site hosts a number of concerts both classical and modern and also hosts some excellent theatre.

The nearest Tennis courts are a short drive away in Caldas. These are housed in the City's park with lush green surroundings and plenty of shade during the warm summer.
Caldas da Rainha boasts the worlds oldest thermal Spa and health care centre that owes its origins to Queen Eleanor. To this day it remains the foremost centre in Portugal for spa treatments. The park in the centre of town is a welcome haven from the hustle and bustle, and is really cool and welcoming during the warmer months.
Casa Bianca is just 15 minutes from the 18-hole Golden Eagle golf course that is ideally located for golf enthusiasts as well as beginners. There is an impressive driving range and all other facilities you would associate with an internationally recognised venue. To the west of the medieval town of Obidos on the far side of the Lagoon is the famous Praia Del Rey Golf complex on the edge of the sea with all amenities at your finger tips. Coast/Beach

Casa Bianca is 35 minutes from vibrant Peniche and 10 minutes from Foz do Arelho beaches. The latter is particularly favoured by families with children owing to the calm and sheltered waters of the Obidos Lagoon. Peniche is regarded as the finest surfing centre in all of Portugal. Large swathes of the Silver Coast remain protected areas for the enjoyment of breathtaking views. The famous beach resorts of Sa Martinho do Porto and Nazare are within easy reach by car using motorways or local roads.
A number of other activities are also available. For those who enjoy the sea, there are numerous boat trips, surfing camps and deep sea fishing at Peniche. The charming town of Obidos with its medieval walls and houses is absolutely stunning by day or night. There are a number of good restaurants and shops that will delights visitors. If you happen to be visiting the area in July, we recommend that you take in the famous and much loved Medieval festival.
