Luxury 4 Bedroom Villa in Praia da Luz

Vila Margarida is a real taste of luxury. Not only does it have its own private heated pool and hard surface tennis court it has wonderful gardens and lovely airy spacious accommodation. The villa has 4 bedrooms, 2 double with en-suite and two twin, all on the ground floor. 3 of the rooms have French doors opening onto the pool terrace.

Upstairs there is a large lounge and separate dining room both opening onto a huge sea-facing terrace with 2 large dining tables, one covered and the other open to the sky. The whole terrace and the living rooms behind have spectacular views of the sea and cliffs overlooking Luz Bay.The lounge also has sat TV,video,DVD,CD/radio/casette. There is also a large kitchen with dishwasher and an upstairs cloakroom.Vila Margarida has maid service three times a week..

Outside next to the pool is a splenid, bar/BBQ/outdoor kitchen with sink with hot and cold water, fridge with small freezer, BBQ and 2 ring gas hob. Ideal for outdoor living and dining.

There is regular maid service 2-3 times per week and weekly linen change. Towels are provided for villa use, but guests are asked to bring their own towels for poolside and beach use. Vila Margarida has electric heaters in all rooms and a log burning fire in the lounge and is therefore a lovely destination for a winter holiday too! There are several dining areas at Vila Margarida. There is an indoor dining room with circular table for 8, two dining tables on the first floor terrace, one under cover for shade if very warm and the other open to the sun. There is also a lovely poolside dining area under the cabana which stays beautifully cool and is a lovely place for lunch or a BBQ.

Winter rates are variable depending on occupancy and duration of stay. The basic price of £300/week is based on 2 people staying at Vila Margarida. Each additional person will be charged at an additional £50/person/week. For stays of 3 weeks or more in the winter season we can usually offer a significant discount so please contact us for an individual quote.
Our change over day is Thursday, but we can often alter this for winter bookings or last minute bookings where possible. Please ask.

Our booking terms are 25% non-refundable deposit at booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.
We can accept payment by cheque or bank transfer in GB pounds, US dollars or Euros. We can also accept payment by credit card via paypal, but will charge an additional 4% on bookings paid for in this way.

A £300 security deposit is required from all groups.

The rates below do not include pool heating which is available at the additional cost of £100/week. If you opt to have the pool heated and it is not heated the week preceding your stay you may also wish to have the pool pre-heated for your arrival. A pool pre-heat is charged at £60.

Broadband access is also available at Vila Margarida at the additional cost of £30/week. If you would like to use the wireless broadband access you will also be required to pay a higher security deposit of £700 which will also make the phone available to you for all outgoing calls and you would have calls made deducted from that security deposit.

Faro airport 70km. Approx 60 minute drive.

There are mnay bars and restaurants within an easy 8 minute walk.

Golf: The Algarve is well known as a golfers paradise and Vila Margarida makes a great base for a golfing holiday, whether all members of the group are playing or some go off to play whilst the others relax by the pool or play tennis. There are many excellent courses within a 25 minute drive including Palmares, Penina, Parque da Floresta and the closest , Boavista is only 5 minutes drive from the villa.

Lagos: The beautiful town of Lagos, described by many as the loveliest town on the Algarve with its old Roman walls and narrow windy streets, is a short 10 minute drive away. It has many excellent beaches, a lovely marina and fishing port and great shopping and bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Mant boat trips run from here including dolphin watching and grotto visits. There are also deep sea fishing excursions available. There are lots of lovely pavement cafes and also entertainers and craftsmen selling their wares. At night it has a wonderful atmosphere and the streets are packed with locals and tourists out for a stroll and watching the entertainers.

Other Nearby Attractions: As well as all that Praia da Luz has to offer there are many other nearby activities for those who hire a car or who travel around by taxi or public transport. There are 2 water slide parks within a 25 minute drive, a marine wildlife park, a large modern shopping centre and a small zoo. The West coast beaches are huge and really beautiful, with large breakers in most weathers. They are ideal for surfing and several have surf schools and board hire. The closest are about 20 minutes drive. Also to the West is the nautical town of Sagres with some lovely sea-food restaurants and the most South -Westerly point in Europe, Cape St Vincent with its high cliffs, fort and lighthouse..
