Driftwood is a 20 minute drive from central Queenstown, and 10 minutes from Queenstown Airport. The drive from Te Anau is approximately 2 hours, and Franz Josef Glacier is a 5 hour drive.
Directions to Driftwood:
~ Take the turnoff signed "Kelvin Heights Peninsular Road" on State Highway 6.
~ Drive to the Kelvin Heights Golf Course at the end of Peninsula Road.
~ Turn left into Cedar Drive.
~ Driftwood is Number 40, on the lake side.

Tee off at the famous Kelvin Heights golf course just round the corner or enjoy the stunning views, wildlife and Lord of the Rings locations at the Deer Park nearby.
Enjoy the crystal-clear lake at the end of the garden for swimming, or make use of our kayaks, rowboat, and fishing rods. Or simply lie in a shady hammock in the private garden.
We have a scenic walking track on our doorstep and all Queenstown's attractions are a 15 minutes drive away. Two ski fields within 30 minutes and world class cross-country skiing an hour away.
Queenstown airport is a 10 minute drive, where we can arrange a breathtaking flight over the Southern Alps to Milford or Doubtful Sound, or Mount Cook.
We'll be delighted to advise on the best restaurants, wineries and garden tours, and can arrange transport to and from the Great Walks (Routeburn, Greenstone or Milford Tracks) and store luggage.
