The studio is open plan, spacious, light and airy with fabuous views. It sleeps 2 people, has an equipped kitchenette, separate bathroom with shower. The accomodation has its own entrance making it separate from the main house. A private patio garden for sunbathing with a seated area on the view point for eating al fresco or enjoying the views whilst sipping a G&T! On site parking. The garden and BBQ area is shared currently with the owners.

The Apartment is equipped with Freesat UK TV, DVD player and has wifi available for internet connection.

Also we have a 'dip pool' during the summer months.

Availability is all year round.

Our Tariff is priced in Euros but we do accept GBP.
A deposit is required to confirm booking at least 6 weeks before travel or payment in full at time of booking if within one month of travel.
The deposit is non-returnable in the event of cancellation of accomodation any later than six weeks before booking date.

Flights to Madeira if travelling from the UK take around 3.5 hours.
Low cost airlines such as EasyJet, ThomsonFly and First Choice offer direct flights from Gatwick, Stanstead, Manchester, Bristol. TAP also offer some good deals too.
The airport is called Funchal although it is in Santa Cruz!
Travelling time from the airport to us will take around 40 minutes by car.
A Taxi from the airport should cost between €40 and €60 euros one way.
A car is reccomended although we are on a loacl bus route.

We have two small local bars within walking distance aproximately a 2 minute walk from the house.
A small mini supermarket and a traditional restaurant with walking distance of around 5 minutes from the house.
Further into the village we have a small shopping centre with a games area, more restaurants including a pizzaria and lots of cafes and bars aswell.
Calheta, the neighbouring village hosts a Marina which sometimes provides a more clubby atmosphere at the weekends. Calheta beach offers beach parties and beach discos during the summer months.
Ribeira Brava, our neghboring town, offers more bars and restaurants and some are open to the early hours whilst the Nightclubs are located in the Capital of Funchal.
Throughout the year there are many Festivals hosted by the villages and towns, with traditional music, food and lots to drink!

Ponta do Sol has a small shopping centre, plenty of banks, restaurants, bars, a chemist, liquor store, small minimarket stores and a beach.

The beach of Ponta do Sol is about a 10 minute walk from the property.
Deep Sea fishing and Dolphin and Whale watching trips are in Calheta.
Levada walking is right on our doorstep!
Our nearest Gold course is in Funchal.
Ponta do Sol is ideally located to reach all of the island, so sightseeing is highly recomended.

Ponta do Sol is a quiet village, popular with local islanders at weekends and a small amount of tourism as we have two hotels on the beach front. WE are situated slightly above the village where it is rural and quiet but within easy walking distance to all the amenities one needs whilst on vacation.
The village is very pretty with vineyards and banana plantations adorning the hills and surrounding area.
Becasue of its location and new and improoved infrastructure, travelling from Ponta do Sol to the rest of the island is a sinch.
