Close to Lecce, the Florence of the South, and to the Port of Brindisi. The historic centres of Ostuni, San Vito dei Normanni, Cisternino, Ceglie and others are all within an easy drive. Fasano Zoo Safari and Alberobello, home of the Trulli, the port of Otranto, Gallipoli and and many other beautiful towns/cities are all within 1 hours drive. There is a Water Park near Gallipoli. Lendinuso is walking distance and has a wonderful bakery/corner store open all year and a great butchers (seasonal) as well as markets, geletaria, pizzeria and other entertainment in the season. Torre San Genarro is also close by, half an hours walk or 5 minutes by car offering live entertainment in the season, a small supermarket, bakery, cafe-bars, restaurants and beaches. Nearby towns have supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers, greengrocers, post office, bank and hairdressers. Also some great restaurants and cafe-bars. Large hypermarkets, Auchan and Carrefour, within 20 minutes drive.

Brindisi airport is just half an hour away. Bari airport is 1 and half hours away. RyanAir fly from London Stansted to both Brindisi and Bari. British Airways fly from London Gatwick to Bari between April and November. AlItalia fly to Brindisi and Bari via Rome or Milan. Naples is a four hour drive from Brindisi and is a viable alternative, British Airways have daily flights from Gatwick to Naples. |

Casa Mare is about 10 minutes walk from Lendinuso, a typical Puglian holiday village. In Lendinuso you will find Bar Benny, a restaurant/pizzeria with dancing, karaoke etc during the season, the restaurant is open all the year round. During the season there are other pizzerias, bars and gelaterias in Lendinsuo itself. There is also a small, but excellent bakery and pasticceria, (open all the year round) a butchers, small supermarket (both seasonal). In the season there is also a small street market along the seafront on most evenings.
Torchiarolo is close by and offers supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers, bakeries, banks and of course restaurants and bars.

Lecce, the Florence of the South, is just 15km from the villa. The historic centre is not to be missed. There are many other ancient cities and oodles of history to explore.
There are beaches up and down the Adriatic coast; it's also easy to pop across to the Ionian coast and explore the otherside of the peninsula. For the children, as well as the beaches, day trips to Fasano Zoo Safari and Amusement park and to the Water Park are an added extra! |

Casa Mare is an easy drive from the airport. We meet you near the villa on a main road and take you to the villa.
We also offer a meet and greet service at either Brindisi (RyanAir / AlItalia) or Bari (RyanAir / British Airways) airport, to include driving your hire car to Villa Sun if required

During the high summer season there is usually music and dancing in the nearby village squares of Lendinuso and Torre San Gennaro. There are also often festas and other events in other towns in the region. A comprehensive guide is provided at the villa.
There are many pizzerias, restaurants and for special occasions Masseria for eating out. With a local professional chef we can orgnaize "A Taste of Puglia" evenings (subject to availability / demand)
