Nally Self Catering is a detached apartment with its own entrance located beside the dwelling house at 9 Eaton Brae in the exclusive suburb of Rathgar in South Dublin. It consists of an entrance hall,a bedroom with twin beds,a lounge/dining room with a kitchen area at one end, and a bathroom with a separate shower compartment.The decor and furniture are of a high standard.Everything including bedlinen and towels are supplied free.It is only 15 minutes by bus or light train to the city centre.
The location is ideal for exploring all the places of interest in the area - the Dublin/Wicklow mountains, the numerous beaches,and Glendalough the famous 6th century monastic site founded by Saint Kevin.

Rathgar is a residential area with many pubs and restaurant. Mount Carmel Hospital - a private hospital - is around the corner on Braemor Park. As you travel along Orwell Road towards Churchtown you can see Millown golf course on both sides of the road an unusual sight in a city.
There is a market in Temple Bar in the city centre on Saturday morning and there are many more in other parts of the city.
The weather in Ireland is not our strong point. It is in the temperate zone which means mild and wet winters and warmer (and showery) summers. That is why the grass is so green and we are dubbed "The Emerald Isle"!. It is similar to English weather though not as cold. Dublin and the east coast get the driest weather in the country. It is not weather for sunbathing but is ideal for golf , walking and sightseeing. People from warmer climes love it as it is never too hot or too cold. |

The apartment is 15km from Dublin Airport. A public transport bus travels regularly to and from the airport to O' Connell Street/Busaras (the terminus) daily.There is a bus stop for number 14 bus in O'Connell Street. Prospective clients should get off at Mount Carmel Hospital, retrace steps to Orwell Road and turn right. Take next right into Eaton Brae. No 9 is the last house at the corner at the end of the road on left. The journey would take over an hour so I advise clients to get a taxi which takes about 40 minutes.
Many coach tours travel daily to places of interest from the city centre.

There is an omniplex cinema and a small theatre in the Dundrum Town Hall Centre which one can get to on the Luas As this is a residential area most people go to the city for entertainment such as cinemas, theatres,singing pubs and nightclubs.
The James Joyce festival of Bloomsday is at the end of June. The International Horse Show week in the RDS with riders from around the world takes place in the week of the August Bank Holiday.

The nearest public tennis court is in Rathgar - 10 minutes by bus.
There are two 18 hole golf courses - Milltown Golf Club and Castle Golf Club - within 1km.
The nearest beach- Sandymount - is 4km away. Other beaches are Seapoint, Killiney and Bray on the South Side and Dollymount, Kilmarnock,Malahide, and Howth on the North Side.

Shopping and exploring the many attractions of Dublin city are, I think, the main attractions while others enjoy the singing in the pubs. Many like hill walking on the Dublin/Wicklow mountains where the view of the city from the top takes the breath away.
