This makes a perfect holiday house if you want peace and tranquility, and to be close to the bustling harbour with an abundance of tavernas, shops and local amenities. The island has a number of stunning beaches, some of which are within walking distance, others by bus or inexpensive taxi.

The house has been interior designed and traditionally decorated in Poros colours using a mix of soft pastel shades and vibrant colours with white. Approximately 5 minutes walk from the harbour along the white painted streets of Poros [quicker going down to the harbour than coming back!] and you reach this pretty detached house with terraces looking out to sea.

About the area

Flights from the U.K. to Athens airport take approximately 3 ¼ hours. There is a regular bus service from the airport to Piraeus harbour taking about 70 minutes.To get to Poros from Pireaus one may take a hydrofoil (1 hour) or the ferry (2 ¼ hours).
Alternatively, one can go by road direct from the airport to Galatas on the mainland, a five minute ferry journey from Poros Town.
NB. Anchor house is situated near the top of the town and is reached from the harbour with a steady climb through Poros’ narrow streets.
On arrival at the island, visitors will be met and transported by taxi to within a few steps of the house. There are instructions left in the house on how to get to and from the harbour.
