Situated on a hill with stunning views of the Pyrénées, set within 100 acres of land, La Haille Gîtes offers an oasis of tranquil, unrivalled seclusion, peace and privacy in a rural location along with an abundance of flora and fauna. In one of our private woods you will find a rope swing, suitable also for those still young at heart and we are currently in the process of constructing a tree house in one of the sturdy oak trees.
Close to Simorre (4 km) a village with all amenities, daily lively markets and the nearby leisure facilities of the lakes at Saramon and Samatan, we are in easy access of Blagnac airport, Toulouse, the Pyrénées mountains, Spain, tax free Andorra and pilgrimages to the shrine of St. Bernadette in Lourdes. Auch, the principal city of the Gers, is where you will find varied activities including a paint ball and quad park, day and evening markets, many varied shops, bars, restaurants all situated alongside museums, cathedrals and even d'Artagnan, the fourth musketeer from 'The Three Musketeers', thus mixing old and new with historic Gascon culture and architecture.

Le Castelet a renovated 'pigeonnier', (dovecot), is a South and East facing three storey gite with a private balcony. Ideal mainly for a couple but may also be suitable for two people if they do not mind sharing the same bedroom and using the sofa as a second bed.
The ground floor comprises of a hall leading to a separate toilet and a bathroom with bath/shower and basin.
The kitchen is on the first floor which is equipped with fridge/freezer, a microwave, a toaster, two electric rings, electric kettle, cutlery, crockery and pans etc.
This opens out onto the large balcony with a gas barbecue, table and chairs overlooking the beautiful countryside.
The top floor has newly fitted air conditioning and comprises of a raised double bed, accessible by a small ladder, with a sofa bed for your comfort and also French television, a DVD/CD player along with a few DVDs, a radio and a selection books.
Le Castelet is fully centrally heated for Winter lets and air conditioning for Summer lets.

There is also the use of two separate barbecue areas, floodlit salt water swimming pool with solar shower, laundry room, games room, bicycles and mountainboards.
Facilities available for camping and caravans.

Open all year. Long lets are negotiable. Please contact us for a price, as we are more than happy to help with any requests or information that you may need should you be house hunting or just looking to stay somewhere different.
July and August - weekly bookings from Saturday to Saturday only.
All other months - if there is availability we will endeavour to be as flexible as possible regarding your arrival and departure days as well as the duration of your stay.

For cyclists: A special reduction for your accommodation is offered for those partaking in any cycling event whilst staying at La Haille Gîtes. Discount is also available to CTC and cycle club members and Singletrack magazine subscribers. Sorry, this offer is not available during the months of July and August.

La Haille Gîtes is situated in the Midi-Pyrénées, South West of France, thirty minutes from Auch (37 km), less than an hour from Blagnac airport, Toulouse (68 km) and just over an hour from Ossun airport, Tarbes (97 km).

Plenty to do both culturally and socially with many nearby restuarants serving local Gascon cuisine.

This department is one of the least populated in France and with immediate access from the house and our local knowledge, we can show you literally 100's of kilometres of cross country tracks and trails tucked away in the beautiful countryside, to suit all abilities.
