The large living room has comfortable seating, a spacious dining area and a fully equiped corner kitchen. All bedrooms have plenty of storage and electric heaters. Downstairs is a double bedroom with a cot and a bathroom. Upstairs has a double and a twin bedroom plus a shower room. High chair, baby bath, stairgate etc. available at no extra charge. There is no smoking in the cottage.

To the rear of the property is a fully enclosed garden, with a lawn and patio that is safe for young children. All patio furniture, barbecue and sun loungers ar provided. Adjacent to the garden is the plunge pool plus a large grassed area for football, cricket or boules. Our house is approximately 100 metres away should you need us and you are welcome to explore in our 10 acres of gardens, paddocks and woodland.

The cottage is available all year. July and August are Saturday to Saturday only. Length of stay and arrival days negotiable at all other times. Pets by prior arrangement only please. 25% of rental to be paid with booking, balance due on or before arrival. A refundable security deposit of 150 euros is also payable in case of loss or damage.

Maury is less than an hours drive south of Limoges airport, where Ryanair have flights from Stansted, East Midlands, and Liverpool and Flybe fly from Newcastle and Southampton. Bergerac Airport is about 2 hours away and has Ryanair flights from Bristol and Flybe from Exeter, Gatwich, Birmingham, Leeds Bradford and Edinburgh. We are about a 7 hour drive from Calais or Boulogne and just 10 km from the A20 Autoroute. Or you could try the train. |

There is plenty of parking space at the property and Lubersac has good supermarkets etc. for all your needs. You will find there is no charge for parking in most villages or lakes etc. and reasonable rates in the city. There is internet access at the local library and calls to UK landlines can be made from our house, plus a mobile phone is available if you have not got one. |

Maury is surrounded by scenic countryside with river valleys, lakes with beaches for swimming and pretty villages with historic chateaux. Pompadour is only 7km away with its famous chateau given by Louis XV to Madame de Pompadour. Here is also the National Stud of Anglo Arab Horses plus one of the most beautiful racecourses in France |

In July and August the local villages have weekly farmers markets complete with the barbecue to cook what you have bought and a live band for the evenings entertainment. Pompadour offers horse racing, international dressage and eventing etc. There are lots of music festivals for all tastes. Brive has a lovely centre with lots of shops. You also have a good choice of restaurants.

Activities

If its an active day you are after there is a choice of karting, kayaking, canoeing, walking, cycling and high wire tree parks. Lubersac pool with its flume is open in July and August.The less active can go fishing or on a train ride or visit one of the many museums. There is golf in Limoges or Brive. Bird watchers have also enjoyed there stay here.

When you have had enough of relaxing and unwinding, Segur-le-Chateau, St Robert, Collonge-la-Rouge and Turenne are all rated some of the most beautiful villages in France. It is an easy drive to the caves and other sites in the Dordogne or the Lot, including Sarlat and Rocamadour. The mountains of the Massif Central with the cable car to the summit of the Puy de Sancy at 1885 metres, or the volcano centre are well worth a visit.
