Entertainment

Enjoy a taste of La Dolce Vita cuisine at our own private Tables d'Hôtes - "Eating in" at La Dolce Vita is like eating out at a very special restaurant in France, except that you get to reserve your menu choices and sip Minervois wine while we prepare your meal and serve you in the guesthouse dining room or on the rooftop terrace.

We use only the freshest of ingredients, gathered from local French markets that abound with vegetables, fruits, herbs, poultry and fresh cut-to-choice meats. Fresh charcuterie, regional French cheeses and Minervois bottled wines are also available, as well as the plethora of international cuisine that the owner and personal chef creates on a daily basis.

BREAKFAST - If staying in a guestroom, you will always be invited for breakfast where you will be subjected to bakery fresh croissants and baguettes, homemade jellies and jams & local creamery butters, and of course freshly brewed coffee and a selection of teas. Omelettes, eggs, bacon & special requests will be accommodated with prior reservation and at an additional charge.

LUNCH - you may reserve a picnic lunch for your day’s excursion that may include local cheese, homemade sausages & cold cuts, bakery fresh bread, and of course wine. Or request a fresh salad, cheese & rosé lunch to be served on the terrace in the open air.

DINNER – A special meal at La Dolce Vita to share with us in the dining room or on the terrace as the sun goes down. The meal can be a full 3-4 course dinner or served family-style depending on your menu. Requests for birthdays, anniversaries, and special events will be accepted and catered to, as we look forward to sharing with you your special occasion or romantic evening for two!

WINE – is a special event here in the South of France and there will be many amazing choices available with your meal. We also invite you to bring your daily chateau finds to the table if you choose. Special requests will be sought out!

FULL & HALF-BOARD – we offer both

Attractions

AZILLE
Azille has much to offer in history and culture with its population of only 1,200 inhabitants:
Saturday morning brings the village street market, with fresh vegetables, fruits, seafood, bric-a-brac, and a number of other stalls and vendors. In the middle ages, Azille was one of the more important sites of the Archdiocese of Narbonne, which gave it the 14th century church of St. Julien, in the center of town (still maintained and in use to this day). The Clarisses Monastery is just around the corner from the church and may also be visited.
Parts of the original fortified walls, towers and entryways can still be seen surrounding the very center of town.
There are also a number of chateaux from the 19th century still in use today, which you can see as you stroll around the village. Take special note of the Chateau Gallimard, of which the Azillaise population are quite proud!
Only 4 kilometers from the center of Azille, the Canal du Midi runs through the vineyards and the community's hamlet of Jaurrès, which houses original aging barrels of gargantuan size.
In town, there are a few wine tasting rooms and Azille's own Cave Cooperative, which is home to many of the grapes harvested in the fall from the vineyards surrounding the village.
