In our farmhouse we offer bed,breakfast and evening meals. Our gite, new for May 2008, is self contained at back of farmhouse.
We have Gites de France classification for the Bed and Breakfast and 3 stars Meubles de Tourisme classification with the Tourst Office for our GITE. We have a large enclosed garden with sunloungers for our guests. We are 10 mins drive from a large swimming lake, bar/restaurant, boulangerie and small shop. 20 mins from Brioude with famous Romanesque Church, Museums,banks, bars and restaurants. 20 mins from the River Allier. 15 mins from Lavadieu Beau Village. 24k from La Chaise Dieu and its famous Abbey where they hold a Classical Music Festival for two weeks every August.

Take A75 motorway toll free (autoroute) to junction/exit 20. Follow road towards Brioude and Le Puy en Velay(N102)(but you do not go as far as Le Puy en Velay). After about 12 kms go straight over roundabout towards La Chaise Dieu D588. Go over river, then left at next roundabout D588 direction Champagnac le Vieux. Go past bar on left, then take right turn (by Boulangerie) and follow road out of village and signposts for Le Boucharel Chambre d'hotes. Keep going for about 3 kms and you will see Le Boucharel turning on right.
Ryanair flys to Rodez where you will need to hire a car and head towards A75 motorway. When on motorway go North towards Clermont Ferrand, but leaving at J.20 (about one hour before Clermont Ferrand).
Air France flys to Clermont Ferrand.
You can also use one of the ferry routes and then down to us, following about directions from A75.

This is not really that sort of area! This is rural France, so you make your own entertainment. But at the end of a long day in the fresh air, when you may have been cycling, walking, swimming, fishing you will probably enjoy just relaxing in the garden over an evening meal and large glass of wine.

If you seriously want disco's and more bars and restaurants then you would need to go to Clermont Ferrand, where you could also find much larger shops. This is about one hours drive away (so we are not totally isolated!)

3 kms to village with boulangerie, bar/restaurant, shop, post office, swimming lake, horse riding, fishing. About 10 mins by car, or you can walk down the forest path, which is a lovely walk and takes about 40 mins. Many walks in area.
Brioude is 20 mins drive with all shops, banks, restaurants, museums, canoe/kayak, large river, fishing, picnics, markets etc.
Very popular area for site seeing, stress free breaks, cycling and photography. Many birds of prey, deer, fauna, red squirrels in forest.
40 mins from Ski resort. Mushrooming weekends end of Sept/Oct.
Home made jams, soups and home produce used wherever possible.

Main attraction would be that this is "real France" still relatively undiscovered, very friendly and welcoming with lovely atmosphere and countryside. Nature, views, lakes and mountains.
