| About the Area: |
Situated in a secluded, peaceful position away from roads at the end of a cobbled lane, yet only a minute's walk to the centre of the unspoilt Lakeland village of Cark-in-Cartmel. There are 2 country pubs within a 2 minute walk. Cartmel village is only 2 minutes drive north. The medieval village of Cartmel is the oldest & most picturesque village in South Lakeland and is home to 4 great village pubs, all serving good food, a Michelin starred restaurant (L'Enclume) & a fantastic, stylish brassiere & cocktail bar (Rogan & Company). The ancient village square where 2 of the pubs are located is a great place to sit and watch the world go by before heading back to the tranquillity of your cottage. Grange-Over-Sands and Lake Windermere are just 10 minutes away by car. Bowness-on-Windermere, Kendal & Ulverston are all within 30 minutes drive. Cartmel Valley is a great place to enjoy a peaceful holiday and still be within easy reach of many of the Lake Districts top attractions. |
