You can leave your car at the house and find long or shorter walks on the surrounding hills which are part of the designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On clear nights the full impact of the night sky can be appreciated without light pollution. Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Ironbridge are all around 30 minutes away by car. We are ideally placed for visiting Acton Scott Historic Farm as seen on TV. The unspoiled beauty of this part of the border country has a wealth of bird life including buzzards, red kites, woodpeckers and ravens - frequently seen performing their aerobatics above the farm - and a big variety of song-birds. The Long Mynd is only a short distance away by car and there are several good pubs within easy reach for eating out. North Hill Farm is open all year except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
