Entertainment

There’s plenty to do and lots to see in the area. Belvoir Castle, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland, is only 4 miles away, and hosts many events throughout the year. If you’re interested in stately homes, there are several National Trust houses in the area, Belton House, Chatsworth House and
Woolsthorpe Manor to name but a few.

The market towns of Melton Mowbray, Grantham and Newark are half an hour’s drive away, as is Nottingham, a must for shopping or a lively night out.

After exploring the Vale, you can go a little further afield and enjoy the Peak District, Sherwood Forest and Rutland Water, all within easy reach, and for the more energetic there’s the National Watersports Centre and the National Ice Centre in Nottingham.
