The kitchen/dining area in both cottages are fully equipped with all the necessary modern conveniences including a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, electric cooker and washing machine. Other essentials such as crockery, cutlery and cleaning materials are also provided together with basic necessities eg milk, tea, coffee, suger, bread, butter, cheese.
Each cottage has 1 double room with a kingsize bed and 1 twin room with 2 single beds, both with wardrobe and dressing table. We can accommodate up to 4 guests in total plus a cot for a baby. Rich carpeting and tasteful soft furnishings complete this beautiful homely picture.
Both the cottages have spacious, immaculate bathrooms complete with a bath (choice of a corner bath or traditional style) and separate large shower unit, basin and wc. Towels and basic toiletries are provided.
There is ample parking space around the cottages, a private seating area and beatiful gardens to the front of the cottages. The setting is quiet and secluded yet with easy reach of local amenities and attractions.

Rentals for each holiday cottage normally runs week to week (Saturday/Sunday). Rentals for less than a week or a long term booking may be available upon request, please enquire.

To book one of these holiday cottages please email us at: enquiries@woodviewcottages.co.uk to find out if your preferred week is still available or call Jane Morley on 01949 81580 or mobile 07949 973470. We will be happy to hold provisional bookings for up to 5 days pending receipt of your booking form and a 25% deposit. Payment can be made by cash, cheque (made payable to "PC Morley and Son") or direct bank transfer.
Once we have received your deposit and the booking form completed and signed we will send you a VAT invoice and letter of confirmation. You will also be sent a set of directions. The balance of monies are payable within 6 weeks prior to your arrival date. If you are a late booking you will be required to pay the full total prior to your arrival date.

DIRECTIONS OFF THE M1 SOUTH
Approaching us from the south on the M1 we are very easy to find. Come off the M1 at junction 21a which takes you on to the Leicester Western Bypass.This road links directly to the A46. Just turn left at the end of the Bypass and you are on the Fosse Way (A46). Continue on this road, it is a dual carriageway. After approximately 10 miles it changes to single carriageway. This is at its intersection with the A606 which is a bridge over the road. Continue on the single carriageway for 2 miles; we are the second farm on the right. You will see 3 black-and-white reflective signs indicating the beginning of our gateway and a sign saying ‘Newfields Farm’.
DIRECTIONS FROM NOTTINGHAM
From Nottingham city follow the signs for the A606 Melton Mowbray and Leicester. Keep following the A606 through the villages of Tollerton and Stanton-on-the-wolds until you reach the intersection with the A46 (the Widmerpool roundabout). Take the first left; this is a slip road down on to the A46 towards Newark. After 2 miles you will see on the righthand side 3 black-and-white reflective signs and a sign saying ‘Newfields Farm’
DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH
Get on to the A46; we are located 5 miles south of the A52 junction (Saxondale roundabout ) at Bingham. You will pass three turnings for Cotgrave before turning left into the farm driveway which is marked with 3 black-and-white reflective signs and a sign saying ‘Newfields Farm’.
DIRECTIONS FROM M1 JUNCTION 24
Follow signs for A453 and stay on this until you see signs for A606 towards Melton Mowbray and Leicester. Woodview holiday cottages are perfectly situated near to many local attractions in Nottingham. Nestled snugly in the Vale of Belvoir, this rural retreat offers the best of both worlds; miles of beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside for you to explore with traditional market towns and bustling cities only a short distance away. There are plenty of attractions in the area providing something of interest for all ages including rambling, cycling, watersports, horse riding and fishing.
Sport. Nottingham Forest, Notts County Football Club and Trent Bridge Cricket Club are situated to the south of the city. Nottingham is also home to Holme Pierrepoint - the National Watersports Centre and the National Ice Centre. Colwick Race Track is also nearby.
Walking
Surrounding the holiday cottages are many picturesque walks which offer the walker a choice of memorable routes. Cycling is one of the best ways to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. There are a good choice of paths to choose from including the Grantham Canal, which is home to many species of wildlife.

Attractions

Belvoir Castle. Belvoir Castle the ancestral home of the Duke of Rutland enjoys a commanding position with breathtaking views across the Vale of Belvoir. You can look round the castle itself, or walk through the secluded woodland grounds. Belvoir also hosts a number of events throughout the year such as jousting and other medieval occasions.
Rutland Water. Nature lovers should certainly visit this magnificent 3,100-acre reservoir and adjoining parkland. Take a picnic and make a whole day of it, there's plenty to see and do including windsurfing and rock climbing. If you prefer to keep your feet on terra firma then view the water and wildlife from the surrounding cycle routes and footpaths.
Sherwood Forest. You can't visit Nottinghamshire without taking a trip to Sherwood Forest Country Park, home of the infamous Robin Hood. The forest has many superb walks that wind through the majestic oaks and there are information points along the way that tell you about the forest's inhabitants.
Nottingham's City Centre. In 20 mins you can be in Nottingham city centre which boasts an impressive range of entertainment facilities. There are many restaurants, bars, street café's and pubs, tourist attractions and plenty of museums, galleries and exhibitions. Two indoor shopping centres top and tail the town centre and the pedestrian shopping streets in between offer everything from high street chains, independent boutiques and designer fashion.
For live entertainment there are three excellent theatres, comedy clubs, and the Nottingham Concert Hall. The National Ice Arena hosts big name concerts and is home to the Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey Team.
Leicester is also only a 30 minute drive away and is home to the National Space Centre, the UK's largest attraction dedicated to space science and astronomy.
