Kitchen: This is very well-equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, cooker, fridge, electric cooker, tumble drier and dresser. There are ample and good quality cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery, glasses and dishes. The walk in pantry is fitted with shelves and houses a fridge freezer. The worktops are lit by ceiling spotlights. The floor is laid with Italian tiles. Dining Room: Adjoining the kitchen, and with original quarry tiles this seats 8 with a high chair for a baby. Sitting room: This south facing, part beamed room is tastefully decorated with two settees and three chairs. There is full central heating and a log burner adds that extra cosy feeling in winter. The room is fully carpeted with additional large rugs and a variety of coffee tables. Satellite colour TV, DVD player/recorder and a Hi-Fi system provide audio and visual entertainment. In addition there is a wide selection of books, a selection of DVDs, two comprehensive tourist information files and a chest packed with various popular family games. Other rooms: There is a downstairs boot room, ideal for storing wet outdoor clothing and footwear and bathroom with power shower. Upstairs there is a small washroom with WC and basin. The Garden: A typical mature cottage garden is laid to flowers beds and lawns to the front and rear. A small shallow pond is home to countless frogs and is alive with tadpoles or ‘pollywiggles’ in the spring. The garden is a wildlife haven with numerous nesting sites.There is a portable barbecue, garden tables and chairs.

Norwich City is 25 miles away and this is served by an international airport and regular rail links to London and the rest of the country. By car from London travel northwards via M11 to A11, take the A1065 to Swaffham. After about 12 miles towards Fakenham, turn left at the sign to West Raynham and after nearly two miles, enter the village. Take the Rudham Road out of the village for a few hundred metres, where there is a small country lane, The Drove, to the left. Pollywiggle cottage is set well back off The Drove on the left at the first bend. PPlease note that a car is essential since there is no regular bus service in this rural area. |

As well as being a much loved holiday destination, this area of Norfolk is of much historic interest with stately homes, castles and nature reserves. It is a popular TV and film location where The Dutchess, Shakespeare In Love, Stardust were filmed, to mention just a few. |
