| About the Area: |
The Old Rectory is situated away from the main village, next to Strensham Church, commanding beautiful views of the tranquil River Avon and Bredon Hill and the surrounding Cotswolds beyond. It has been said in the history of Strensham, published on the Web that: “The situation of the Rectory is so paradisical, overlooking the rich valley of the Avon that one can excuse the occupants for lingering behind as long as possible.” The panorama westward is of The Malvern Hills; Expedia recently described The Malverns as one of the 'Hidden Gems on The Planet' and The Malvern Hills were also recently voted the 'Best View in Britain 2009' by The Rambling Association. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is totally unique and perfect for walks or cycling. The historic river towns of Tewkesbury, Twyning, Pershore and Upton on Severn are just 10 mins drive away with Malvern, Cheltenham and Worcester 15 mins drive. Alternatively enjoy the wealth of local country pubs with great food and beers. |
