Castle Road is located off East Hill in central Colchester, right next to Castle Park and the famous Norman Castle. The town’s main bus station is a couple of minutes’ walk away and Colchester railway station is a ten-minute walk through the park. To reach Castle Road, turn into Roman Road and continue into Castle Road, which is one-way. The house numbers run consecutively – No 6 is at the top of the road on the left and Hope Cottage (17 Castle Road) is a little further down, set back from the road.
