There is much to do and see in the local area. The 12 miles of spectacular coastline around the Hartland Peninsula has a wonderful selection of secluded beaches, pretty coves and coastal walks.Yapham holiday cottages are equidistant between Bude in Cornwall and Bideford in Devon. We can also offer an excellent range of homemade seasonal farmhouse meals and dishes, breakfast hampers and home made cakes.

A beautifully light and airy cottage, full of character The living room has an open-truss ceiling with a balustrade, which overlooks the kitchen. The living room leads into the hall area and bathroom with bath and shower attachment, wash basin and WC.
The bespoke kitchen with county cream units has french doors leading onto the sun terrace.
There are two bedrooms, one double and one en-suite with two single beds. The en-suite comprises of a shower, wash basin and WC. A door from this bedroom leads onto the sun terrace.
What better way to start the day than breakfast outdoors listening only to the birdsong!

A non-returnable deposit of 20% is payable when booking your holiday. If more than one week, deposit paid for each week. We ask that the deposit is paid within 72 hours to secure the booking.
I will then acknowledge receipt of your deposit and the balance is paid no later than eight weeks before your holiday starts. If making a booking eight weeks or less before your start date then full payment is required. Please make cheques payable to Jane Young.
I will also send you details of holiday insurance which we strongly recommend you take out.
On receipt of final payment I will send you details of how to get here, supermarkets and places to eat en-route.
You are most welcome to arrive anytime after 3pm.

In the surrounding area, you will find wonderful beaches, beautiful gardens and historic houses and also plenty for children to do. Whatever your preference for sport the area can accommodate you! from water sports, fishing and riding to golf and scenic railway trips.
We also have exclusive use of a private fishing lake, five minutes walk from our cottages. In a beautiful and tranquil setting, the lake is a must for any coarse fishing enthusiast!

The village of Hartland The thriving village of Hartland is only two miles from Yapham. Here you will find a great selection of shops, from food shops offering local produce, Post Office and store with its vast range of services including banking, to a large medical centre,vets,garage, two pubs and three churches.
The village also boasts many skilled craftspeople; furniture makers, potters, photographers and artists.
There are some interesting Victorian terraced houses,a square with handsome Georgian properties and a raised pavement along Fore Street, all of which add to the charm of the village. The parish Church of Saint Nectan, the 'Cathedral' of North Devon is magnificent. It makes an imposing landmark with the tower being 128 feet tall, the highest in Devon.
Hartland Point with its lighthouse and Hartland Quay, are only a short distance from the village. Hartland Quay has some of the most spectacular coastal scenery and geology in North West Europe.
