ARTISTS COTTAGE Inside, colours mirror the seas changing palette. The old windows frame - fishermen, emptying lobster pots from small boats on a sea of glass, summer's warm shimmering brilliance or a wild winter ocean with its crashing waves dramatically reminding of the Atlantic’s power. Lost in the blue of the bay a pretty garden overlooks deserted coves fringed with wild flowers, seals loitering in the surf and a small harbour where the ferry to St. Michael’s Mount collects its passengers at high tide 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms 6 guests

| About the Area: |
Marazion is a popular destination for beach holidays & water sports, including windsurfing, kite-surfing & sailing. The attractive old town claims to be one of the oldest in Britain - known as Ictis by the Romans. Mounts Bay is one of the most beautiful bays in the world. The clean, sandy beaches offer safe bathing. There are wonderful views towards the Lizard Peninsular in one direction & Land End in the other. It is famous because of St Michael's Mount- a causeway, once walked by pilgrims, leads to the island at low tide. A short distance along the coast is the pretty village of Perranuthnoe, which boasts the oldest inn in Cornwall - a good spot for surfing! Next along the coast is Prussia Cove, the lair of the notorious wreckers & pirates, the Carter brothers. |

As it is so far south and has the Gulf Stream running past its long expanse of coast, this part of England has a very mild climate, especially right on the coast. Spring comes early & autumn lingers longer. With its ancient past & stunning natural beauty, it offers a wealth of experiences. St Michael's Mount, is a magical island which has a church, a medievil castle, an exotic garden clinging to the sleep flanks and an ancient harbour with shops & restaurants. The Minack Theatre is a unique open-air theatre created from the cliff side , its backdrop is spectacular views over Porthcurnow Bay to Logan Rock. The Tate Gallery, St Ives & the Eden Project are worth a visit.
