SEAHOUSES COTTAGE

The lounge provides a warm and comfortable environment, where you can relax in front of the coal fire set within the original fireplace. The cottage also has central heating provided by Calor Gas. Centrally located, the cottage is only a very short walk to the town centre, harbour and local pubs! There is a colour TV, DVD player, and CD/radio.

For days out, we provide buckets, spades and fishing nets to enable you to enjoy the local beaches and rock pools. DVD films, music CDs, books, toys and board games are provided for cosy nights in, together with toasting forks for marshmallows!

If travelling by public transport, there are good rail and bus links. A local bus company (5 minutes walk) provide an array of day trips around northumberland.
We are 50 minutes away from Newcastle International Airport or 1 hour 10 minutes from DFDS Ferry Port at North Shields.

There is a variety of shops and public houses within Seahouses and surrounding villages.

A visit to the Farne Islands on the local boats is a must for a first time visitor to the region as well as a visit to Holy Island.

There are local markets in Alnwick and Berwick. A large leisure centre with pool is available in Tweedmouth.

Seahouses is on the Northumberland coastline. The coastline is an Area of Outstanding National Beauty with fantastic coastal villages and towns to visit.

Seahouses is situated on the magnificent North Northumberland coast-30 miles from the Scottish Border. The fishing harbour is flanked on either side to the north and south by miles of beautiful unspolit beaches. Seahouses offers many amenities including an array of cafes, pubs and shops. Fishing trips and boat trips to the Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, depart regularly. There are several world class golf courses in the surrounding area, Seahouses Gold Course being a 5 minute walk from cottage. Places to visit within an approximate ten-mile radius include: Holy Island, home of Christianity in the North of England. Bamburgh, with its magnificent castle dominating the village. The imposing ruins of Dunstanburgh castle. Craster, home of the world famous Craster Kippers. Alnwick, an ancient market town with yet another impressive ancient castle and Alnwick Gardens.
