Villa Mar is a luxury self catering, quality home from home. It is decorated to a high standard in a contemporary relaxing style with splashes of bright colour. It has a very comfortable, clean, cool, restful interior. It has its own private heated swimming pool, spacious patio / terraces, parasol & sunloungers in a professionally planted garden with a life-size barbeque and evening lighting. The private pool & garden are enclosed to allow you to relax, read, sunbathe, swim, dine, have a drink, converse or just share a romantic moment, night or day, away from prying eyes! Villa Mar is in a lovely, very quiet area, yet close to shops, nice restaurants and bars, coast walks, sea views, beaches. You will love it.

This is a duplex villa with the main bathroom and both bedrooms on the first floor and so unfortunately it is not suitable for those unable to climb stairs. (2) There is a safe for your passports and valuables. (3) The villa is cleaned thoroughly before your arrival and then weekly. We have an excellent linen and towel service; linen changed weekly and the soft hand and shower towels twice weekly. The pool and pool towels are cleaned/changed weekly. (4) The pool is heated from September through to April.
The villa has been decorated to a very high standard and equipped down to the last detail; you will find everything you need for your stay, including a complimentary bottle of wine chilling in the fridge on your arrival. It is completely private. The living room has a full wall of patio doors looking out to the patio area and swimming pool. It is decorated in a relaxing contemporary style with a very comfortable 3 seater rattan sofa and 2 armchairs, scatter cushions, halogen spot lights - bright for reading, and an up lighter for watching the flat screen TV which has 8 local channels and 300+ English and 300+ German satellite channels, home cinema and a DVD/CD/MP3 player. There is a selection of CDs, DVDs and books available for your relaxation. There is a coffee table, occasional furniture and high ceilings with air conditioning for cooling temperatures. But more than all that, it is bright and airy, and always cool inside, helping you feel relaxed, unwound and at ease.
The kitchen is spacious, modern and fully equipped with cherry units, granite worktops and it has a full size oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, extractor, kettle, cafeteria, toaster and all the crockery, saucepans, oven/tableware necessary to do a full dinner party. Lots of glasses too! There is a separate utility/breakfast room off the kitchen with a washing machine, iron, ironing board and all the more boring things, so you can feel at home, away.

There are 2 bathrooms: 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. Both are fully tiled with WC, power shower, hand basin, large mirror and good lighting. The main one is family sized and has a bidet, bath and vanity top as well as a hairdryer. There is always lots of hot water. We provide good quality, soft hand and shower towels as well extra hand towels in each bathroom. There is an outdoor shower beside the pool.
There are 2 bedrooms: 1 double with balcony and sea views, and 1 twin bedroom. Both have air conditioning. Both have fitted wardrobes, bedside tables. Full length mirrors and chairs. There are good quality pillows, cushions and light duvets on the beds with extra pillows and blankets if required. You can sleep comfortably and peacefully here, there are no disco clubs or late bars outside. The main bedroom has a balcony with panoramic sea views out over the Bocayna Strait to Isla Lobos and the dramatic Fuerteventura skyline. Here you can sit and sip a morning coffee or enjoy a sun downer watching the boats sail in to the marina.

We really don’t have any hidden charges! The prices shown are the rental price for the property per week - not the number of people. The villa sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. So if you are a couple and have family members join you, for some or all of the time, there is NO extra charge.
There is a nominal extra charge for airconditioning / heating which is payable in the villa via a meter. Electricity, water and other community charges are all included. Clean, soft towels and beach towels as well as crisp bed linen are all included. Our travel cot and high chair are available at no extra charge, if you have a child that needs them, however, we do ask you to bring your child’s own bed linen. Items such as the information books, safe, hairdryer, even some matches and candles are all available for your benefit and comfort and are not charged as extras.
'Extras' that are Free with Our Compliments: (1) On your arrival, you will find a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge to put you in the holiday mood. (2) We also leave some coffee, tea, sugar, milk, biscuits, orange juice and bottled water as a ‘starter pack’ for you to enjoy until you are able to visit the supermarket. (3) A selection of CD’s, DVD’s and books are available.
Bookings can be made by email or telephone or SMS messages with a return phone number. The minimum rental amount is 1 week. A deposit of 200€ is required on booking. The balance is payable 6 weeks before your holiday commences (or immediately if the booking time is shorter than 6 weeks). A 200 € refundable security deposit is required the week before your holiday.

The villa is south facing and receives all day sun on the private pool and terrace. The garden is walled with a gate and intercom for total privacy. The balcony provides shade to the dining area of the patio below where there is a large table, 4 chairs and a parasol. There is a large stone BBQ for you to cook some authentic BBQ steaks or fish on, in the Canarian garden with it's pepper and ficus trees, occasionally visiting exotic hoopoe birds and colourful cactus plants set in picón, a volcanic stone which retains moisture. There is outdoor lighting too, so you and your companions can dine, have a drink or just relax and enjoy it all at night as well. There is a pool shower, 4 very comfortable ergonomic sun loungers with different positions for your back and legs and we even provide large pool towels for your use. And of course there is the pool too, refreshing and fun to use! There is car parking and the supermarket is within 50 m walk.

It is 2 minutes walk to the coastal path with dramatic sea views to Lanzarote’s south beaches & Fuerteventura. Here you can stroll; walk or jog, or just sit & look out to sea from the many in-built seats; choose a cliff top or rocky cove to sunbath on & admire the spectacular mountain & sparkling sea views. Turn right for the commercial soft white sand beaches of Playas Dorada, Blanca, & Flamingo to Pechiguera Lighthouse, as you stroll thru the Prestigious Marina Rubicón with its sailboats, market, stylish shops & restaurants, onto Playa Blanca Village itself with its harbour & many seafront cafés & bars. Or turn left to walk /cycle thru National Park to picnic in the secluded Papagayo beaches passing El Pueblo's new centre, sports bar, restaurants, and shops. Villa Mar faces a park of elegant shady Palm trees; a quiet area, safe & well lit a night with no noisy late disco clubs to disturb. |

Golf
Villa Mar's closest golf course is the new Ron Kirby designed course at Pto del Carmen with excellent greens and a sizeable water hazard as feature at the 17th hole, capable of destroying a card in a strokes competition! Then there is the well known Costa Teguise 18 hole golf course with spectacular volcanic views, approximately 40 minutes drive away. And while a full size golf course is planned for Playa Blanca, it is not ready yet, however, meanwhile there is 9 hole golf, crazy golf and pitch and putt available close by.
