The lovely timber inside the cabins glows and gleams and you will find traditional mountain cabin furnishing to complement the wilderness setting of the Cradle Mountain Australian heritage listed region of Tasmania.
Each cabin is custombuilt and the layouts are all uniquely different. Cradle Mountain Highlanders Cottages offers self catering accommodation to suit the single traveller, couples, family holidays as well as backpackers and small group accommodation.
The cottages range from cosy double/twin cabins to romantic, wilderness spa cabins ideal for a special secluded mountain honeymoon or short break escape.

The small but well equipped kitchen has a microwave and electric hotplate, refrigerator and all cooking and eating utensils to make your cabin accommodation fully self contained for a cosy romantic interlude or short break holiday for couples.
A separate bedroom has a magnificent queensize Tasmanian hardwood bed, a TV for those lazy lay-ins and a private ensuite bathroom with full bath with a shower over it.
There is a open porch for you to share with the local Tasmanian wildlife.
All cottages have well equipped kitchens, private bathrooms, TV, clock radio, electric blankets, hair dryers and pure Tasmanian mountain water on tap. Ten of the cottages have wood heating and two have gas heating. There is a communal BBQ shelter with gas BBQ and a guest laundry. Portable BBQs can also be set up on your deck or verandah.
All the Cradle Mountain Highlanders Cottages include towels and linen and are serviced daily.

Cradle Mountain Highlanders Cottages are located in the Cradle valley on highway C132, about 3.5 km after the turn off to Cradle Mountain. The cottages are on the right hand side of the road 200 metres past the National Park's Cradle Information Centre and just a couple of minutes drive from the entrance to the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park World Heritage area in Tasmania, Australia.
The cottages cannot be seen from the road, only a hand carved timber sign on the right hand side saying "Highlanders Cottages".
