Our two story stone home and holiday gite is in the heart of our small village of Langoat, Brittany. Only minutes from a wide variety of popular beaches, we are set amongst fields of the 'Cotes D'Armor' along the tidal river Jaudy. This part of Brittany is a holiday favorite with its ports, sandy and shingle beaches, green fields dotted with standing stones and dolmans, ancient chateaux and villages of stone and slate.
Langoat is located on the Jaudy river, 5km SW of the mouth of the harbor in Tregier (large town with all services). The shopping center of Lannion with its kayak races along the river is only 10 min. away, and has a lovely centreville with fabulous shops and creperies up and away from the river on its cobblestone streets. For sites on the harbor, try Paimpol or Perros Guierec which are favorites of all who stay here. Langoat is a central location to many different areas, all just minutes away, so you never stay only in one spot, but try all of the Cotes d'Armor. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 shower room 6 guests

Our home is old world with modern comforts. You enter a large living/dining area that leads you to the modern kitchen. Outside the attached garage is the decked terrace with BBQ and teak tables and chairs. Stone walls, a willow fence, flowering pots give you a summers get a way. Upstairs are the modern baths and double bedrooms. Here, we have all that you need for a holiday near the sea and yet away from the crowds. Free parking right by the house in the village square, in front of the marie, or village town hall. The church is right across the street and is famous for its saint Pompee in her crypt.
Across the street and down a bit is the town bar/coffee shop with our market next door. Pascal has all the bits and bobs you may need at a moments notice. Our village baker is exceptional and has his artisanal designation as well as being a patisserie, waistlines...beware! A hair salon rounds village life up to be all inclusive and close enough to walk.
Just past the church is the football pitch, and tennis courts. As you walk down the Rue des Etangs, you are on your way to our two ponds, with the perfect picnic or frisbee throwing meadow inbetween. Feed the ducks or just lay back and enjoy the sun. Keep on walking and you are at our tidal river, the Jaudy. Walk along the river up to the posted kayak school for lessons. Another walk thru town in the other direction will take you to Castle Du, Roman earthworks.
Here in this part of Brittany you are close to everything you could look for in a holiday, cycling, walking the many footpaths, dining at the seaside and enjoying our open air markets.
The house with all its comforts, modern amenities and yet old world charm leaves you feeling like, for awhile, you, too, have had a home in the Cotes d' Armor.

Cultural Sites/Gardens
Leaving the charming port of Paimpol and its’ cobblestone alleys and chic shops you can drive north, following signs, to catch the ferry to the lovely lIe de Brehat. This is an archipelago of two main islands separated at high tide. Called the island of” flowers and pink granite rocks” the lovely stone cottages and lush gardens are buffered by the mild micro-climate of the warm Gulf Stream. Since no cars are allowed excepting the very small farm tractors, it is an ideal walking or cycling site for the whole family. Be sure to explore the Brehat blown glass works while there. Service by ferry (just a 10 min trip, unless you opt for the tour of the islands) is operated by Compagnie Les Vedettes de Brehat at www.vedettesdebrehat.com Tel. 02 96 55 79 50
The many tourist information sites in each village are filled with brochures on events, locations and directions for the many manoirs, chateau and abbeys.
