Gavaudun is a typical and small village, dominated by its 11th century castle with a remarkable dungeon. It is nestled between the valleys of the Lot and the Dordogne rivers and is close to the majestic châteaux of Biron and Bonaguil as well as the bastides of Monflanquin and Monpazier.
You can find the house of Bernard Palissy 6km away… Sarlat and its festival 65 km away… Rocamadour, Saint Emilion, Les Eyzies, Cahors, Moissac and many other exceptional sites are awaiting your visit.

BY AIR : airports of Paris (600 km), Bordeaux Merignac (150 km), Toulouse (100 km), Bergerac (50 km), then car rental.
BY TRAIN : Agen TGV Station (60 km), then car rental.
BY CAR :
From Bordeaux, highway A62-E72 to Toulouse. Exit at Marmande, cross Marmande and take D933 direction Bergerac. 9 km after Marmande, D124 to Puymiclan, Tombeboeuf, Cancon, Monflanquin. In Monflanquin, follow first Fumel, then immediately D150 (left, then right) to Lacapelle Biron. Cross Salle, then turn left to Gavaudun. At entrance of Gavaudun, 1st road to the right, Resort 1,5 km away, signposted “Auberge de Vezou”, under the trees, to the left.
From Toulouse, highway A62-E72 to Bordeaux. Exit at Agen, direction Perigueux on road N21. Turn around Villeneuve s/Lot direction Perigueux. At the exit of Villeneuve (run-about), take right D676 to Monflanquin, and follow as above.
From Paris, highway A20 to Limoges, Brives, Cahors. Exit at Cahors, direction Cahors. At Cahors, direction Bergerac, then Fumel. At the centre of Fumel, follow Perigueux (D710). Out of Fumel (before Cuzorn), take left D162 direction Monflanquin. After 5 km take right D150 to Gavaudun, and follow as above.
